Tinku Privacy Notice

This notice describes the Tinku website and early-access waitlist, local transfers between the companion app and device, and the cloud content-generation flow. The Tinku product is currently offered in the United States.

Who is responsible

Wisdom Realm Tech LLC operates Tinku. For privacy questions, requests, or to leave the waitlist, email privacy@playtinku.com.

Connecting your phone and device

The Tinku device creates its own Wi-Fi access point. Your phone connects directly to that network to transfer content and manage the device. This connection does not require you to give Tinku your home Wi-Fi network name or password. Content stored on the device can be played without an internet connection. The device has no microphone or camera and does not record children.

Local transfer and cloud generation are separate: the phone uses an internet connection to request or download content from our cloud services, then transfers content to the device over the device's Wi-Fi network.

Information in the companion app

The companion app is for adults. Adults enter a child’s name or nickname and age; the app does not accept child photo or voice uploads. The app stores setup information on your phone, including the name or nickname entered for the child, age, language preferences, device name and identifier, and information about installed content and transfers. When you use the content chat, the app sends the entered child name, age, language preferences, and conversation messages to our backend to tailor the requested content. These details are not restricted to local storage.

Please use a nickname and avoid including full names, addresses, school details, contact information, or sensitive information in your requests.

AI-generated content

We use AI to create content, including text, illustrations, and narrated audio. Requests are processed in the cloud, not solely on the device. Our content-chat implementation uses OpenAI: the conversation and personalization details described above are included in the request sent to that service. Generated content and build information may be stored in our AWS infrastructure so the app can retrieve the result and transfer it to your device.

The information sent to an AI provider depends on the generation task and can include your request, personalization details included in the text, and generated material needed for the next step. The providers process that information under their applicable service terms and account settings. We do not promise that requests have zero retention.

AI-generated narration is synthetic speech; generating it does not require a recording of your child's voice. Avoid submitting confidential information in content requests.

Browsing the website

Our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, processes connection information such as your IP address and browser request to deliver and secure the website. We use this information to operate the site and protect it against abuse.

Optional Google Analytics

Only after you select Accept do we load Google Analytics, provided by Google, to measure page visits, scroll depth, and which sections visitors view. Analytics may process browser and device information, cookie identifiers, and interactions with the website. We use these measurements to understand and improve the website. Advertising consent stays disabled.

If you decline, we do not load Google Analytics or send analytics measurements to Google. Acceptance is optional and is not required to browse or join the waitlist. You can withdraw acceptance using Cookie settings in the footer of this page. Withdrawal stops further analytics collection on this page and clears our accessible Google Analytics cookies; it does not erase information already collected.

We remember your choice in this browser's local storage (tinku_consent_v2) for up to 180 days, then ask again. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page. Google Analytics uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_Y70M14BD40; we configure their lifetime to 180 days without automatic renewal. These cookies help distinguish visits. Clearing site data also resets your preference.

Early-access waitlist and contacting us

The waitlist is for adults. We use LaunchList to provide the signup form and manage early-access registrations. The signup form loads automatically when you visit the home page, connecting your browser to LaunchList, which receives connection information such as your IP address and browser details. Submitting the form sends the information you enter to LaunchList so we can manage your registration and contact you about Tinku's launch and early access.

Please use your own email address and do not submit information about a child. You can instead email hello@playtinku.com to request early access. When you email us, our email service processes your address and message so we can respond. You can ask us to remove your waitlist registration at privacy@playtinku.com.

Service providers, retention, and international processing

We use cloud hosting, AI processing, analytics (when accepted), waitlist, and email providers for the purposes described above. These providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Applicable privacy protections and transfer requirements depend on the provider and your location.

We keep your generated cloud content available until you delete it or ask us to delete it. Deleting a downloaded copy from your phone or device does not delete the cloud copy. To request cloud deletion, contact privacy@playtinku.com.

We retain other personal information for as long as needed for the purpose described, including responding to requests and meeting legal obligations. Cookie lifetimes above describe browser storage, not the retention of records held by our providers. Contact us for information about retention or to request deletion.

Your choices and rights

You can decline or withdraw analytics using Cookie settings, and contact us to leave the waitlist. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, restrict or object to processing, and complain to your local privacy regulator. Contact privacy@playtinku.com to exercise these rights. We may need to verify your request.

Children

This marketing website and waitlist are intended for parents and other adults. Please do not submit children's personal information through the waitlist. The companion app processes the personalization details entered for content generation as described above. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and handle its deletion.

Parents or guardians may contact privacy@playtinku.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information entered about their child. Removing content from the device or phone does not automatically delete cloud copies; contact us for cloud-data requests.

Changes

We will update this notice and its date when our website's data practices change.
